Virginia International University’s mission is to educate students from all over the world through a highly qualified, equally diverse faculty and staff, while striving to provide academic programs at the graduate, undergraduate, and certificate levels that engender the intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity urgently needed in the global community and with a commitment to providing students with the knowledge to achieve excellence in research, scholarship, and creative endeavor.

Also, VIU alumni are eligible to receive a discount on tuition when they enroll in any of our graduate programs.

Admission Requirements

All submissions must be scanned, color copies of the original document. Photos are NOT considered acceptable documentation. If any document is issued in a language other than English, please provide both the original document and a translation of the document into English. Translated documents must be notarized. If transcripts are issued from the institution in English, students will not be required to submit the transcript in their native language. VIU has the right to request original documentation. Submission of fabricated or false documents will result in immediate dismissal of the application and will disqualify the individual from applying to VIU in the future. Applications and documents will not be processed until the $150 application fee has been paid. Documents submitted for admission purposes will not be returned to the applicant.

To be considered for admission to VIU, applicants must have a CGPA of 2.50 or higher on a 4.00 grading scale, or equivalent.VIU Benefits

VIU offers discounted rates for alumni who enroll in a graduate program  or any of the School of Continuing Education & Conference’s non-credit courses.

Albright College

Founded in 1856, Albright College is a selective, national liberal arts college enrolling 1,700 full-time undergraduates. Albright’s flexible interdisciplinary curriculum, strengthened by a close-knit residential learning environment, encourages students to combine majors and disciplines to create individualized academic programs. If you are a working adult, look into our Accelerated Degree Programs. You can fast-track a bachelor’s degree while working full-time.

Our master’s degree program in education offers four majors to meet a variety of interests. We emphasize research-based examination of best teaching practices.
